Party game · How to play

Black Card Revok

Answer A to D, show your answer at the same time, and don't be the first one to lose all your points.

  • 3 to 12 players
  • 20 to 30 minutes
  • Ages 13 and up
  • 10 points each

What you need

Three to twelve players and the app on one phone. For bigger groups, play in teams.

Setup

  1. Open the app, tap New game, and type in every player's name.
  2. Everybody starts with 10 points. You can only lose them.
  3. The app picks who reads first.

The two kinds of cards

  • Facts cards have one right answer.
  • The Room Decides cards have no right answer. Whatever most people pick wins.

How a round works

  1. The phone goes to the reader. The reader says the card type out loud, then reads the question and all four answers.
  2. The reader starts the clock. Everybody picks an answer in their head.
  3. When the clock hits zero, everybody holds up their answer at the same time: 1 finger for A, 2 for B, 3 for C, 4 for D. The reader taps in what each person showed.
  4. The app reveals the votes. Wrong answer, outside the majority, or no answer in time: you lose 1 point.
  5. The phone moves to the next reader.

Arguing after the reveal is part of the game. Changing your answer after you've shown it is not.

Special cases

  • The reader can't lose a point on the round they read.
  • If The Room Decides ends in a tie, the reader picks the winner.
  • Rather vote in secret? Choose Pass the phone in the settings, and each player taps their answer privately.

Winning

The first player to reach zero loses, and everybody else wins. Want a longer game? The host can switch to last one standing, or most points after 15 rounds, and can start everybody with 5 or 15 points instead.
